^Lot 1666 GERMAN WWII M42 STAHLHELM.

Iconic German M42 Stahlhelm mfg. during WWII. Interior is stamped with a partially discernible "CKL" mfg. code (Eisenhuttenwerke) followed by a "64" size mark above an apparent "20". Helmet exhibits a field gray painted finish, with no decal having been applied. Reproduction brown leather liner with black leather chin strap. CONDITION: helmet retains the majority of its original field gray painted finish, showing scattered superficial handling marks and scratches, some scattered spots of apparent black paint, as well as some spots and patches of surface oxidation. Underside of helmet exhibits some wear on contact points around the rim. Reproduction liner and chin strap are excellent, remaining malleable and exhibiting some light wear.
